Iveco Daily Electric: Heavy-Duty Van Segment Gets Serious

Short Description

Iveco has updated its Daily Electric with increased payload and improved range, targeting operators in the large and heavy van segment who have been waiting for a viable electric option.

Details

The updated Iveco Daily Electric addresses many of the criticisms levelled at its predecessor by delivering meaningful improvements in range and payload. The new 120kWh battery option provides up to 220 miles of real-world range, making it genuinely viable for regional distribution operations. Maximum payload has been increased to 1,950kg in certain body configurations, making it the highest-payload electric van currently available in the UK market. Iveco has also invested in an improved thermal management system that better maintains range in cold weather conditions, a known weakness of the previous model. Fleet pricing remains competitive with diesel Daily variants when government grants are factored in.
