Last-Mile Logistics Boom Fuels Record Van Leasing Figures

Short Description

Van leasing volumes have broken records for the third consecutive quarter as e-commerce growth continues to drive demand across the logistics sector.

Details

The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) has reported record van leasing volumes for Q4 2025, with contract hire agreements up 19% year-on-year. The growth is directly tied to the sustained expansion of e-commerce, with parcel delivery networks expanding their fleets at pace. Small panel vans and compact cargo vans are proving most popular, reflecting the needs of urban last-mile operators. Leasing companies note that electric van options are increasingly requested, though lead times for some models remain extended due to supply chain constraints.
